Solas Studio Membership Terms & Conditions

Member Dues & Consignment Policy:

Membership dues are non-refundable and have no cash value.

Members whose membership tier offers additional benefits (i.e., print-on-demand listings or studio time) must utilize said benefits within 30 days of their most recent payment and maintain an active account at the level that makes them eligible for said benefits.

Studio hours do not accrue and reset at the end of each paid period, regardless of usage.

Print-On-Demand listings may be removed if a membership is cancelled or downgraded.

Members receive 100% of the sales on any item produced through Solas Studio, after deducting production, taxes, and credit card processing fees.

Member receives 70% of all original artworks and approved merchandise sales made through Solas Studio’s gallery or website after taxes and credit card processing fees.

Refund and Cancellation Policy:

Solas Studio maintains an exchange-only refund policy.

Members are responsible for the billing status of their membership. Members may cancel their accounts or alter their payment info or membership level at any time via the member portal on Solas’s website.

Once an account has been actively canceled, any unused credit left on the account expires after a period of 90 calendar days.*

Accounts overdue past 90 days are considered cancelled and studio credit is forfeited.*

Intellectual Property and Usage Rights:

Member retains all rights to their work. Solas reserves the right to reproduce artwork submitted to Solas for exhibition solely for promotional materials, catalogues, and general marketing.

 

Studio Conduct Clause:

Member is responsible for their own conduct and the conduct of their guests. Member is responsible for loss or damages caused by themselves or their guests.

Solas is committed to fostering an environment of cheerful collaboration and artistic exploration, and any behavior inconsistent with this goal will not be permitted. Repeated non-adherence may result in a membership being revoked without refund.

 

Lost and Found policy:

Solas is not responsible for any personal property, including artwork, left in the studio past 14 calendar days unless a storage fee is agreed upon by both parties and paid in full. Anything left past this period becomes property of Solas and may be disposed of without notice.

 

The “Safe Space” Policy:

Solas Studio will never publish WIP (Works in Progress) or share personal information disclosed at support meetings, developmental workshops or our private online forums unless given explicit consent. Other members are also expected to adhere to this policy

 

Curatorial Process Clause:

Members at any level are encouraged to submit work to our quarterly showcases and themed exhibitions put on by our curatorial team through the Member Portal. Selections may be limited by theme or available space. Participation in quarterly showcases is highly encouraged but cannot always be guaranteed.

Member-led exhibitions and curatorial projects are subject to approval by the Solas Studio staff.
